Starting in October, Emily's school picks two Students of the Month in each class based on whatever the criteria that month. In October it was ATTITUDE and my little EMILY was picked for her good attitude. She told me Mrs. Grundy told her she was patient, always raises her hand and is a good citizen. :)
They had an awards assembly with the whole school and Emily received a cool La Verne Heights water bottle (no really, it's cool and not cheap), a certificate and a free meal at Red Robin.

This is the whole school. It's small, which is wonderful! That day was also the kick off of Red Ribbon Week, so everybody is dressed in red. The assembly was outside in the sunny sunshine because their auditorium is being remodeled.
